Memorial bike ride event for Lennie Antonelli and Jake Hill in Marshall, NC, July 1, 2026.

The Lennie Antonelli and Jake Hill Memorial Ride

Wednesday July 1, 2026 Marshall, NC

Join us in Marshall, NC, to honor the lives of Lennie Antonelli and Jake Hill on the one-year anniversary of their passing.

This  memorial ride is an opportunity for friends, family, and the broader  cycling community to come together in remembrance. Lennie and Jake were  deeply valued members of the riding community, and this event is  intended to reflect the spirit of connection, respect, and shared  purpose that they embodied.

The ride will begin at 6:00 PM in  downtown Marshall and follow an approximately 11-mile out-and-back route  along NC-251, traveling to the site of the crash before returning to  town. The pace will be casual and conversational, with the group staying  together throughout. This is not a race—there will be no timing, no  results, and no pressure—only a shared ride in remembrance.

Riders of all levels are welcome. We ask that all participants ride safely, follow traffic laws, and look out for one another.
Whether  you knew Lennie and Jake personally or simply wish to show support,  your presence is meaningful. We hope you’ll join us in honoring their  lives and continuing to build the kind of community they helped create.

While  this event is free to the public, we encourage those who are able to  consider donating to or fundraising for The White Line Foundation, an  advocacy group working toward the goal of zero traffic fatalities. Your  support helps advance the change that can prevent tragedies like this in  the future.

Important: For the safety of all  participants, we ask that riders travel to Marshall to begin the ride,  rather than riding to the start. The Woodfin section of NC-251 is highly  trafficked, and we want to avoid groups of cyclists approaching the  route in a spread-out manner that could create additional risk with  vehicle traffic. To help with this, carpool options will be available  from Gravelo Workshop in Asheville.
